How to Manage Company Data Using Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is a free service that allows you to track the performance of your website. It also gives you information about how people interact with your site – what pages them visit, how long they spend on each page, and how many times they click on links.

Google Analytics is easy to set up and use, but it does require some training before you can start tracking. To get started, ask your web developer or IT department for help with setting up the client code (which is a special script that your browser needs).

Once you’ve installed Google Analytics on your site, you’ll be able to see how many visitors are coming from Google and other search engines, as well as which pages are being viewed most often. You can also see how much time people spend on your site by watching how long they stay on each page before moving elsewhere. Finally, if you choose to use it, Google Analytics can even tell you who is clicking on any given link on your site – so if someone clicks through from another website or social network, Google Analytics will show that too!

This article will show you how to use Google Analytics for your company data

1. Accessing Google Analytics

To get started, sign up for a Google account. Then:

Go to the Google Analytics home page. Click the “Start Free” button if you’re starting from scratch or click “Get started” if you already have an account.

Read the welcome message in the top right corner of your screen and accept it by clicking “Continue.” If this is your first time using Google Analytics, you’ll also receive an email with instructions to set up your account.

2. Setting up Your Account

When you set up your account to use Google Analytics for your company data, we’ll ask you to create a new account using the email address associated with your business. You can use this account as a trial or test drive of Google Analytics.

If you’re using the free version of Google Analytics, we don’t require you to have a credit card on file. However, if you want to use the paid version of Google Analytics, we require payment information at signup. To protect your data, we don’t collect any sensitive personal information from you when creating an account in the trial or test-drive mode.

3. Tracking Website Traffic

Google Analytics for Website Traffic Data provides you with information about the number of visitors to your website, the average time spent on each page of your site, the amount of time spent on each page segment (like category or search), and other data such as bounce rate, time on site and more. This is a great way to get a better understanding of how visitors interact with your site so that you can improve it.

4. Analyzing Your Data

To analyze your data, you will need a Google account. If you do not have one, create one by clicking on the “Sign Up” button in the upper right corner of this page.

Once you have an account, you can access all of your data through Google Analytics.

To access it:

Go to www.google.com/analytics and log in with your username and password (found on the bottom right-hand side of your screen).

Click on “Create a new project” under the “My Projects” section

Enter a name for your project and click “Create Project” to save it and return back to the analytics home page.

In Consequence

If you want to better manage your data by using analytics, you need to make sure that there is a good foundation in place. We highly recommend focusing on another three areas outside of just knowing how to use Google Analytics: data collection, data management, and analysis. Stress the importance of these three areas to your team members and create a plan for how you can each collect, manage and analyze more data.
