1. Accessing Google Analytics
To get started, sign up for a Google account. Then:
Go to the Google Analytics home page. Click the “Start Free” button if you’re starting from scratch or click “Get started” if you already have an account.
Read the welcome message in the top right corner of your screen and accept it by clicking “Continue.” If this is your first time using Google Analytics, you’ll also receive an email with instructions to set up your account.
2. Setting up Your Account
When you set up your account to use Google Analytics for your company data, we’ll ask you to create a new account using the email address associated with your business. You can use this account as a trial or test drive of Google Analytics.
If you’re using the free version of Google Analytics, we don’t require you to have a credit card on file. However, if you want to use the paid version of Google Analytics, we require payment information at signup. To protect your data, we don’t collect any sensitive personal information from you when creating an account in the trial or test-drive mode.
3. Tracking Website Traffic

4. Analyzing Your Data

To access it:
Go to www.google.com/analytics and log in with your username and password (found on the bottom right-hand side of your screen).
Click on “Create a new project” under the “My Projects” section
Enter a name for your project and click “Create Project” to save it and return back to the analytics home page.
