The Pangarchulla Peak Trek- A thrilling summit

INTRODUCTION:

If you are looking for a spectacular climb, the Pangarchulla Peak trek is for you. The summit of the Pangarchulla trek is at an altitude of 15,069 feet. To begin with, Pangarchulla is a 5-day trek (7 days if you include the travel day from Rishikesh). The journey starts from Auli, near Joshimath, in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. It is located in Nanda Devi National Park.

This trek is famous for its peak climb. This will be the first thing anyone who has done this trip will remember. The days above are long. You climb over many snow-covered rocks, feeling your feet with every step.

While climbing the mountain itself provides a strong adrenaline rush, the view of the mountain from the top of the mountain makes the experience even better. The trek is accompanied by spectacular views of many of the Himalayan ranges. And above all, they surround you, and they are all close to you. Quick Itinerary 

 DAY 1 

Take a bus from Rishikesh to Joshimath.

Driving distance: 254 km; driving time: 10-11 hours

At 6:00 a.m., the tour will be organized. One-way transport costs Rs. 6,000 for a Bolero (5–6 seats) and Rs. 9,000 for a Tempo passenger (10–12 seats). This amount is distributed among the passengers. Around 5:00 PM, you will reach Joshimath Base Camp.

 DAY 2 

Take a bus from Joshimath to Tugasi. Travel from Tugasi to Gulling/Akhrotghetta

Time to walk: 6-7 hours | Distance: 12 kilometres | Elevation: 8,790 to 10,908 feet. Constant Ascent It rises for the first 20 minutes and then slows down for the next 45 minutes. 

DAY 3 

Travel from Gulling/Akhrotghetta to Khullara

3-4 hours walking | 6 km distance | elevation range of 10,908 to 11,010 feet. Not too much of a height. This process is gradually increasing. There is no water source. Bring 2 litres of water. 

Day 4 

Khullara acclimatisation day Trek from Khullara to Kuari Top and back. Distance of the course: 7 km; walking time: 4-5 hours; elevation change: 11,010 feet to 12,600 feet, then back to 11,010 feet. Simple. Slowly climb up to Kuari Peak. Bring plenty of water, as there are no watering holes along the trail.

DAY 5  

Travel from Khullara to the top of Pangarchulla hill and back. Course length: 12 km; travel time: 10–12 hours; elevation gain/loss: 11,010 feet to 15,069 feet, then back to 11,010 feet

 DAY 6 

Trek from Khullara to Karchi, then first to Tapoban.

Walking time: 3-4 hours | Distance: 5.25 km | Elevation gain: 11,010 to 7,315 feet. Easy-Negative. The descent is moderate to steep up to Karchi. Carry enough water. 

DAY 7 

Drive back from Tapoban to Rishikesh.

Travel time: 260 km; walking time: 10–11 hours.
